Sept 2022. On the NSW Central Coast is a suburb called The Entrance. Yes really that is it's name. It refers to the channel between the ocean and the lake and has the potential to be very dangerous. The lake fills and empties with the ocean tides. One minute there is a deep turbulent rush of water coming into the lake and later it is running out.

The motel pool was rather small so I ventured to The Entrance Ocean Baths to get my laps in. The 50-metre pool is the centrepiece with a divided 20-metre wading pool on a slightly lower level. The pools are "flushed" with fresh ocean water at least once per week throughout the year. The swimming in the big pool is excellent.
